fish species and bait choice
Fishing here will feel familiar to those who enjoy perch fishing back home, but Black Bass takes it up a notch with their fast, hard strikes. You can fish with jigs, cranks, and topwater lures just as usual, but Extremadura also opens the door to new techniques and baits from both the USA and Japan. Finesse rigs, modern topwater methods, and more aggressive presentations work really well in these structure-rich lakes.
It's a type of fishing that both develops and inspires, whether you're an experienced predator angler or curious to try something new.
Daiwa 24 Tatula SV TW 100HL is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.

Which fish species are found in Extremadura
Which fish species are found in Extremadura
In Extremadura, you will primarily find Black Bass, pike, zander, and the strong Comizo Barbel. In some waters, catfish are also present, sometimes biting as a surprise. It is an area with truly varied predator fishing where several species can bite during the same session.
When should one go on a fishing trip to Extremadura?
When should one go on a fishing trip to Extremadura?
The best time to go is March to December, when the fishing is active and varied. The periods September–November and April–May stand out a bit extra – then the lakes offer perfect temperatures, a lot of actively hunting fish, and a really good chance of surface strikes. It is also an ideal time to extend the season when it has gotten cold back home in Sweden.
Can I customize my fishing trip

Facts about the country
Facts about the country
Extremadura is located in western Spain, near the border with Portugal. The region is known for its slow pace, great natural values, and a landscape that clearly differs from Spain's more tourist-dense areas. Here you'll find rolling hills, valleys, olive groves, and enormous reservoirs that have made Extremadura one of Europe's most exciting areas for predator fishing. The climate is hot and dry for much of the year, with milder winters and long periods of stable weather. It is also this climate that makes predator fishing so strong here.
Extremadura has a rich culture and history with influences from both the Romans and the Moors. Many small villages and towns offer classic tapas bars, local produce, and a genuine Spanish atmosphere. It is a region where you quickly feel welcome and where fishing, nature, and food are intertwined in a way that makes the trip memorable even off the water.

How do you fish in Extremadura?
How do you fish in Extremadura?
In Extremadura, you mainly fish with different spinning techniques targeting Black Bass, pike, zander, and Comizo Barbel. The lakes are full of structure such as flooded trees, rocks, drop-offs, and grass edges, which makes techniques like flukes, Texas rigs, crankbaits, chatterbaits, and topwater lures work really well.
You fish from modern bass boats with local fishing guides who know exactly how the fishing changes from day to day. The pace is high, the bites are often hard, and you can use both classic methods and modern techniques from the USA and Japan. It's varied predator fishing where every cast can yield something new.
What is the weather and climate like?
What is the weather and climate like?
Extremadura has a warm and stable climate that is perfect for predator fishing. Spring and autumn offer pleasant temperatures and active fish, while summer can be very hot with long, bright days on the water. Winters are mild compared to Sweden, which means that fishing often continues for most of the year. It's a climate where you get a lot of time outdoors and where the weather rarely stops you from fishing.
